JOB SUMMARYUnder general supervision, supervises building, equipment and vehicle maintenance staff.
Oversees the maintenance activities of facilities and systems.
This position may specialize in the supervision of one particular craft specialty.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIESSupervises and schedules maintenance staff.
Develops goals and priorities, and assigns tasks and projects.
Counsels, trains and coaches maintenance staff.
Implements corrective actions and conducts performance evaluations.
Provides leadership and guidance in processes and procedures.
As a working Supervisor, participates in maintaining the physical structure of building systems including HVAC, water, boiler plants, electrical, lighting, plumbing, critical equipment monitoring, ground structure and security.
Performs the duties and responsibilities of their specific trade.
Investigates problems, formulates solutions, and communicates those solutions to internal customers and management.
In consultation with Maintenance Supervisor and Department Manager, develops goals and priorities.
Develops staff skills and executes training plans.
Recommends solutions to ensure uninterrupted utilities and life support systems for safe and efficient healthcare operations.
Provides technical support to work unit for engineering/operations/maintenance issues.
Functions as technical liaison between skilled craftsmen and equipment/service providers and contractors.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Required SkillsKnowledge of national and local building codes and safety standards.
Knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing and carpentry trade maintenance procedures.
Skill in effectively managing staff, and delegating tasks and authority.
Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands.
Skill in the use of tools, materials, and equipment used in facility maintenance.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with co-workers.
Required ExperienceMINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONCompletion of a formal apprenticeship program typically requiring a combination of 6000 - 8000 hours (depending on which trade) of education, practice, and/or on-the-job training and leading to a journey-level designation.
An equivalent amount of education, training, and/or experience may be substituted for the apprenticeship program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONNon-supervisory - Four (4) years of skilled craft work experience.
An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or training may be substituted for experience.
MINIMUM LICENSE REQUIREMENTSMay be required to possess an Alaska driver's license with a clean driving record.
Depending on the needs of the organization, some incumbents in this job class may be required to obtain additional certifications or training in one or more specialty areas.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSMay be required to work outside the traditional work schedule.
May be called out to work off-shift in emergency situations.
This position requires frequent exposure to hazardous work environments and working with high voltage, hazardous machinery, equipment and materials.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe following demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds; climb ladders, crawl, need full mobility of all limbs able to navigate and work in tight/closed areas.
Must not be claustrophobic, acrophobic, or be colorblind.
This position requires frequent standing, bending, stooping, kneeling and working in cramped spaces.

Therefore, some latex exposure can be expected.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
