com to apply! SUMMARY This position provides administrative support to the Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) legal department and supports managers and employees through a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.
The Legal Administrative Assistant is responsible for confidential and time sensitive material, and must be able to effectively communicate via phone and email in a professional manner.
This position requires great attention to detail, and the Legal Administrative Assistant duties must be completed accurately and delivered with high quality in a timely manner.
This is a direct report to Director of Contracts and Legal Administration but will also be tasked with providing administrative assistance and other support to BSNC's General Counsel and legal department staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.

Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner Maintain computer and manual filing systems Coordinate office procedures Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, faxing, etc.
Prepare template agreements and emails on behalf of legal staff Manage BSNC and subcontractor Certificates of Insurance and ensure the certificates are maintained in accordance with contract terms Coordinate bid, performance, and payment bond requests and maintain bond filesAssist with contract closeout requirements, including releases of claims Prepare and/or compile documents and exhibits for litigation, claims, audits and other matters Provide litigation support, to include review, organization, and indexing discovery documents; preparation of privilege logs, witness lists, timelines, and other summaries; and maintenance of litigation files Compile and analyze data for special projects Track legal and compliance matters Prepare accurate weekly staff meeting minutes and monthly expense reports for managers and staff Order office supplies Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.

Required (Minimum) Qualifications Required (Minimum) Qualifications 1-2 years administrative or paralegal experience in a legal office setting High school diploma or equivalent Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Attention to detail and problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment to a variety of situations and collaborate effectively with other personnel to meet deadlines Possess a strong desire to expand responsibility and increase experience and knowledge through on the job training and continuing education Preferred:

Must be a US citizen and able to obtain access to military installations.
Must have reliable transportation to/from the work location.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
