Electrical Engineer

Overview
ICE Technical Services, a division of Katmai Government Services, currently has an opening for the position of Civil Engineering Contractor. This is an on call casual position with the potential to move to a full time permanent position.
Serve as the Electrical Engineer responsible for supporting an Engineering Design Team to develop efficient designs and prepare accurate drawings and specifications for renovation and modernization projects.
Responsibilities
Design of exterior/interior electrical power systems with knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), short circuit analysis, provide electrical power to electronic equipment, exterior/interior lighting, grounding, lightning protection, interior/exterior power distribution and fire detection systems.
Ensuring that Safety, Risk Management, and Construction Control Measures are thoroughly integrated in the designs, as well as the Constructability of the final package.
Provide technical electrical engineering expertise to construction teams, reviewing and approving construction material submittals, preparing construction government estimates, and inspecting construction projects in various Aviation/Airport facilities.

US Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET Accredited School
Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959
This position has a positive education requirement

Special Skills
Familiarity with power system analysis and protective device coordination.
Demonstrate detailed knowledge and experience of Electronic/Electrical engineering principles, theories, and concepts to planning, designing and constructing of National Airspace Systems (NAS) facilities particularly the design, installation and commissioning of building power distribution, lighting design, grounding systems and fire alarm device layout for commercial and/or industrial facilities.
Experience performing power system analysis.
Extensive knowledge and the ability to interpret and apply NEC, IBC, life safety and other applicable NFPA codes in design and installation.
Experience using microstation and/or autocad software to create bid documents and as-built drawings.
PE license preferred.
Knowledge of airport design, construction standards and methods.
Knowledge of FAA and DOT policies and procedures is a plus.
Education
To be acceptable, the curriculum must be in a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics:
(a) statics, dynamics;
(b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships);
(c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics;
(d) thermodynamics;
(e) electrical fields and circuits;
(f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and
(g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.

Physical Demands
Position consists of standing for long periods of time, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing and seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to focus; occasional walking or standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Moderate to extended periods of office work with heavy periods of computer usage. May be assigned occasional to moderate periods of analytical tasks requiring extensive reasoning abilities. Work Environment
Work is performed at job site construction locations during project transitioning with a wide variety of people in different functions, personalities and abilities.
Work Schedule
40 hours per week. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
