Construction Laborer

This position requires extensive travel to locations throughout the US and US possessions. Perform tasks involving physical labor at building construction projects. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites. May assist other craft workers.
Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.
Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones.
Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes.
Position, join, align, or seal structural components, such as concrete wall sections or pipes.
Measure, mark, or record openings or distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed.
Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications.
Erect or dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, or other temporary structures.
Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts.
Uses tools such as: forklifts, levels, man lift/personnel lift, power drills, power grinders, power saws, and pressure cleaners.
This position requires a great deal of travel. Must have the ability to work on projects away from home city for lengthy periods of time. Must be able to navigate airports, deal with rental vehicle pick up and drop offs and understand basic travel instructions. A U.S. Passport or ability to obtain one is desired.

Work Schedule:
40 hours per week. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

Education, Experience, Special Skills:
Requires High School diploma and at least four (4) years applicable experience in the construction fields.
Knowledge of building and construction, design, mathematics, mechanics, public safety and security, engineering and technology.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
