Apprentice Industrial Electricians install, modify, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical hardware, instruments, and systems. Apprentice Industrial Electricians provide technical advice and support apprentices and crew.
Apprentice Industrial Electricians anticipate project issues, provide shop support for the electrical and automation crew, take direction from supervisors regarding project scope and schedules and communicate this information to crew/team, track and manage task and crew performance, lead installations and ensure crew is performing and has the required Personal Safety Equipment and Tools.
Apprentice Industrial Electricians are the technical face of TecPro and represent themselves as confident, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional with other contractors, customers and within the community.
Responsible for working under Journeyman Electricians on installation and construction with some maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical equipment and systems found in an industrial or commercial environment. Basic knowledge of the proper use of standard wire, conduit, fittings and hardware commonly found in industrial plants. Ability to read and understand conduit drawings, schematics, drawings, and specifications. Responsible for use and care of the tools and equipment commonly employed in industrial construction, including but no limited to: hydraulic/electric benders, knockout punch sets, cable puller, meggers, hi-pot equipment, volt meters, multi-testers and ammeters. Able to set and coordinate over-current protective devices, size feeder circuits and basic understanding to work on systems up to and including 13.8 kV.
Experience and demonstrated ability to bend, cut, thread and install conduit Install and terminate wiring. Check out and troubleshoot simple electric circuits and electrical devices and machinery. Accountable for testing, troubleshooting, setting and calibrating power distribution systems, while working with protective relaying and motor control circuits knowledge.

Responsibilities:
Alaska State Electrical Apprentice's License is required. Understanding of electrical circuits including the operation and function of typical electrical devices and machinery such as solenoids, relays, motors, transformers, switches, motor control centers, generators, batteries and lighting systems Possess an excellent knowledge of the National Electric Code.
Some travel throughout state &/or CONUS for projects.
Required Experience/
Qualifications:
o Experience in the Industrial Electrician / Technician markets required (Residential/Commercial experience will not be considered)
o Must Possess Personal Industrial Electrician Tools
o Must be energetic team player with exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills
o Personal Determination and Resolve with a willingness to embrace daily challenges head-on
o Demonstrated ability to multi-task
o Strong personal management and personal execution skills
o PLC and HMI programming experience in control systems a plus
o Personal computer skills in Microsoft products, networking, and computer maintenance
o Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

o Strong leadership, and communication skills
o Ability to work independently, and as part of a team to reach a common goal
o Must have a valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier
o Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug screen

o Must be able to complete a vigorous fit-for-duty assessment with lifting up to 50 pounds and a series of assessment exercises

o Top of Market Hourly Rate-DOE

o RetirementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
