IMMEDIATE NEED: for a Field Service Technicians in Anchorage Alaska with 2
years experience servicing generators / gen sets. You must be capable of working independently or in teams on diesel and gaseous-fueled power generation equipment. Responsibilities for the Field Service Technician
Scheduled maintenance and repairs, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of engines, generators, controls, switchgear, emissions controls, and auxiliary equipment.
Mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on all generating set systems, including: fuel delivery, ignition, lube oil, cooling, exhaust systems, turbo charging as well as engine internal components.
Performing minor and major engine overhauls in the field
Electrical troubleshooting and problem solving requires strong AC/DC power skills, ability to read and interpret schematics, troubleshoot and repair electrical contactors, motors, relays, contacts, generator components, and controls.
A working knowledge of PLC control systems, relays, digital/analog inputs-outputs.
Requirements for the Field Service Technician
2
years experience either in power generation service, industrial mechanical-electrical troubleshooting and repairs, or marine engineering. Reciprocating engine experience is a must.
Have a blend of mechanical and electrical capabilities or the ability to cross train.
Technical school, related military technical, electrical/mechanical engineering degrees, or maritime engineering backgrounds preferred.
