We are currently seeking an experienced Automation Engineer for a prominent E&P company based in Anchorage, AK. Our client engages in exploration and production of hydrocarbons, natural gas and oil products as well as in development oilfield services, construction and engineering sectors.
This is a 2/2 rotational position located on the North Slope.
The Automation Engineer is primarily responsible for providing automation support to facility operations utilizing Delta V.
The Automation Engineer is also responsible for:
- Supervising a small team of technicians
- Troubleshooting and assisting operations with FCO's
- Understanding safe I/O, configuring and troubleshooting
- Performing system maintenance and troubleshooting
- Providing support and guidance for Det-tronics fire and gas programming
- Integrating Delta V with other manufactured systems
- Supporting TCP/IP and ISO Ethernet Networks
- Monitoring Process Instrumentation for Hart and 4-20mA transmitters
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 10
years of experience in implementing PLC systems and in developing graphical user interfaces
- Must have experience in continuous process control utilizing PID algorithms; experience creating and transferring safety matrices
- Proficiency using Delta V inserting and removing individual projects; proficiency in implementing and writing custom code
- Familiar with Flow measurement standards; knowledge of Visual Basic language scripting
- Experience with AMS; experience designing Rockwell PLC's strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of designing and relining loop and I/O wiring drawings is a plus
- Prior North Slope or arctic experience requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
