Piping Designer

Piping Designers familiar with Upstream and North Slope procedures and documentation are needed to check complex, difficult piping layouts and HVAC designs. Proficiency with AutoCAD, CadWorX, Raster Design, Bentley V8i and ProjectWise is required. the Piping Designers will develop and check Process Flow Diagrams and P&IDs for various projects and take the lead, coordinate, review and check the work of designers, drafters and technicians. This is a Contract position with long term potential in Alaska.
Responsibilities for the Piping Designer
Evaluates, selects, and applies standard design techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications on medium complexity projects
Makes adaptations and modifications on Brownfield projects
Conducts field investigations, produces clear field reports with detailed sketches, photos, written and verbal instructions
Develops detailed design elements using information from various sources which may include site studies, vendor drawings, catalog data, engineering sketches, written and verbal instructions
Reviews and checks design drawings and vendor shop drawings
Performs project related tasks such as scope development, scheduling and job status reporting
Requirements for the Piping Designer
Familiarity with CPAI North Slope procedures preferred and documentation criteria and the ability to check complex, difficult piping layouts and HVAC designs
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Raster Design, Bentley V8i and ProjectWise
Proven skills taking the lead, coordinate, review and check the work of designers, drafters and technicians
