We are currently looking for an experienced Process Engineer for a prominent international Operator in Anchorage, Alaska. Our client is the 4th largest refiner worldwide, with operations in more than 30 countries and assets of $160 billion.
The Process Engineer is primarily responsible for supporting our client''s ongoing Pressure Relief Device Audit. For this position, a working knowledge of process hazard analysis and/or HAZOPS techniques, including Layer Of Protection Analysis (LOPA), is required.
The Process Engineer is also responsible for:
Researching applicable equipment information and data to support ongoing pressure relief device sizing, including searching electronic and physical data information, occasional visits to the field to review with field personnel and/or verify data accuracy, frequent communicate with vendors to obtain missing information
Assessing Process Hazard Analysis scenarios to determine if the correct sizing basis has been used in the sizing calculations
Validating sizing calculations, as needed
Assisting design teams with corrective action design requirements; working with the design team to determine project process flow and layout requirements
Overseeing Engineering contractors, as required
Bachelor''s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
7- 10
years of progressive Engineering experience, with prior project work in Anchorage and/or the North Slope
Working knowledge of process hazard analysis and/or HAZOPS techniques, including Layer Of Protection Analysis (LOPA); prior experience with HYSYS; PSV, PRD, process sizing experience
