Position Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care in accordance with the care plan developed for each individual patient and within the physician's orders.
The Registered Nurse is also responsible for providing services, as directed by contract and/or program, while under the supervision of a contract/program clinical designee.
The RN provides service in accordance with Maxim's philosophy, standards and policies.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Assesses and evaluates patient nursing needs regularlyo Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as requiredo Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs changeo Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goalso Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisoro Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of interventiono Assures patient/client safety at all timeso Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the care/services environment and equipment used, including universal precautionso Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicableo Documents all physician collaboration/coordination of care in the medical record and communicates this information as neededo Adheres to the following professional practice standards:
Nurse Practice Act Standards of Nursing Practice Standards of Patient Care Standards of Accrediting Body State and Local Laws Patient Bill of Rights Policies and procedures of contracted customers Adheres to Maxim policy, procedure and applicable protocols Attends case conferences, team meetings and education in-services, as required Performs other duties as assigned/necessary Minimum Requirements:
o Graduate of an accredited school of nursing preferredo Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in specific state requiredo Complies with accepted professional standards and practiceo One year prior professional nursing experience preferredo Current CPR, as applicable, for direct patient careo PPD or chest x-ray if applicableo Successful completion of Maxim Orientation and Compliance training, and all other assigned trainings as applicable requiredo Successful completion of Maxim's Competency Programo Proficiency in the English language requiredo Current Health Certificate (per facility contract or state regulation) requiredo Must meet all federal, state, local and contract requirementsCompliance and Ethics Expectations:
o Participates in and successfully completes the company's compliance program requirements and adheres to the Code of Conduct, Company policies, and applicable federal and state requirementso Sets an example for other employees regarding how the Company's Code of Conduct and Compliance Program is applied and observed every day when interacting with customers, business operations, or other team memberso Reports potential violations of company policy, Code of Conduct, and/or applicable laws and regulations to the company hotline, through the chain of command, to the Compliance and Ethics Department, or through other channels made available by the company for reporting potential violationso Promotes an environment in which other employees are encouraged to report potential compliance violationso As appropriate, provides input and suggestions regarding how policies, procedures, workflows, and/or controls can be improved to enhance compliance Recommended Skills Cpr Care Coordination Certified Nurse Practitioner Clinical Works Conflict Management Health Care Apply to this job.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
