AIRLIFT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST with Security Clearance

Dutieso Functions as a Wing Airlift Operations Specialist, responsible for managing aircrew and aircraft allocations for higher headquarters tasked missions and the execution of airlift training missions within the 3rd Wing flying hour program.
o Reviews and evaluates scheduled airlift missions planned/tasked by T ACC's Channel, SAAM Exercise and Contingency cells or by Kenney Headquarters AMD for accuracy and efficiency.
o Provides briefings on the Flying Schedule to the staff and support functions while attending the various Airlift OPS/MX meetings and the weekly 3rd Wing Scheduling Meeting.
o Serves as a member of the 3rd Operational Support Squadron, Current Operations Flight staffAs required by night and squadron leadership, coordinates with other civilian and military personnel within and outside the Wing to assist in the management of current operations.

o Knowledge in the proper handling of classified documents is desirable and current Operations experience is highly desirable.

Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systemsExamples of specialized experience includes comprehensive knowledge of the worldwide DOD Airlift System, route sets, prioritization and scheduling policies, knowledge of airlift operations policies, principles and practices and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods to issues concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations, knowledge of flight plans, clearance authorities and restrictions, broad knowledge of Air Force MDS operations policies, principles, and practices of functional activities to develop airlift missions, Knowledge of Wing airlift performance capabilities and limitations to include range, fuel requirements, configuration, loading, takeoff data and weight restrictions; practical experience in Global Decision Support System 2 (GDSS2) for operations briefings, reporting and tracking mission movement throughout gaining commands, command, and control systems; knowledge of statistical analysis and management systems to interpret data to be used in presentations and skill in preparing briefings to keep the Wing Commander and higher headquarters informed of airlift statusOR EDUCATION:
