About this roleThe primary role of the Water Business Group (WBG) Technology Director, working internally as part of our Professional Services program, is driving the strategic vision and tactical implementation of technology solutions within our WBG.
As the Technology Director, you will collaborate closely with the Water Business Group leadership, IT Group, and other stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and implement technology initiatives.
The primary focus will be on leveraging technology to optimize operations, improve project delivery efficiency, and foster innovation within the water sector.
This will be accomplished through the advancement and implementation of technology related to data management, optimization, automation, and visualization.
Success in this role will include developing consistent delivery approaches, connecting people with technology related talent, shaping our strategic plan for the next five to ten years, and positioning HDR as a differentiator in the marketplace.
This position will report to the Professional Services Director and will collaborate with the water related market sectors and business classes for overall resource allocation, key hires, quality control, and technical excellence.
Primary ResponsibilitiesIn this role, we'll count on you to:
Facilitate development of a WBG technology vision and roadmap that identifies, develops, and monitors strategies for technology investments within the business group.
Collaborate and coordinate with external technology vendors as well as internal business class and corporate technology programs to align and advance water program initiatives for computer-related technology such as data analytics.
Develop and implement standardized approaches and best practices for increased efficiency of technology related work and quality of deliveryWork to identify programmatic hardware and software needs, such as high-powered computing, and work with corporate information technology to facilitate and implement solutions.
Participate in technology development policies, oversee software maintenance for the Water program Develop strategies and support practice and professional discipline groups to foster technology talent collaboration and skills development.
Participate on project teams for larger programs and pursuits QualificationsRequired QualificationsMinimum of a Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, information science, systems administration, or similar related field.
Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute applied technology strategies, implementation plans, and foster lasing change within an organization.
Experience in data architecture, data management and well-versed in industry standardsExcellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to find solutions that advance projects and initiativesPreferred Qualifications experience with a few of the following is a plus:
Experience evaluating technology, and software development and deploymentDemonstrated understanding of a broad range of technologies and their applied delivery within the water sector.

The expected compensation range depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
The expected compensation range for this position in Washington is $124,754.
00 - $215,740.

The expected compensation range for this position in Colorado is $131,320.
00 - $206,360.
00 annually.
The expected compensation range for this position in California is $144,000.
00 - $243,880.
00 annually.
The expected compensation range for this position in New York is $164,150.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
