The Building Technologies Division is recruiting qualified applicants for our pool of adjunct instructors for the Construction Management and Architectural Engineering Technology programs. Duties:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Adjunct faculty are responsible for teaching courses in the Construction Management and/or the Architectural & Engineering Technology program. The instructor is responsible for identifying and meeting the needs of the students, contributing to curriculum development, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of subject areas. The ability to work effectively with colleagues and students of various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds is essential. TYPICAL
Experience:
Teaching assignments are determined by college needs and/or the individual's background and experience. REQUIRED EDUCATION OR TRAINING:
A Bachelor's degree indicating academic preparation in a technical field is required. Qualified applicants will have substantial, recent, full-time experience in the industry, and/or teaching experience in an architectural and engineering technology or construction management related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Knowledge of principles and applications of construction management or architectural and engineering technology, combined with demonstrated skills necessary to ensure successful teaching at the post-secondary level are required. Applicants must have the ability to encourage students to use critical thinking and problem solving skills. Successful candidates must provide official transcripts prior to hire, documenting academic credentials required for the position as a condition of employment. Qualifying earned degrees must be confirmed by one of the six US regional accrediting associations. Job duties include teaching courses in the Construction Management and/or the Architectural & Engineering Technology program; identifying and meeting the needs of the students; contributing to curriculum development; maintaining up-to-date knowledge of subject areas; and being available for contact with students. Successful candidates must provide official transcripts prior to hire, documenting academic credentials required for the position as a condition of employment.
