Occupational Health Medical Surveillance Specialist LOCATION:
Anchorage, AK 99503 DUTIES:
The Occupational Health Medical Surveillance Examination Services Specialist/Coordinator will be responsible for:
Safeguarding the health and safety of employees exposed to occupational hazards.
Design and manage medical surveillance programs.
Conduct health assessments, and monitor employees' health status.
The specialist ensures compliance with regulations, communicates findings to employees, and collaborates with healthcare providers.
Periodic Occupational Health Exams.
Respirator Medical Certification.
Respirator Fit Testing.
Vision Testing.
Audiometric Testing.
Laboratory Testing.
Initial Medical Qualification Exams.
Functional Capacity Exam.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION:
A bachelor's degree in occupational health, Nursing, Medicine, or a related field is typically required.
(Master's degree preferred).
Previous experience in occupational health, medical surveillance, or employee health monitoring is highly beneficial.
Background in healthcare, workplace safety, or public health may have an advantage.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
