We're looking for a talented, entrepreneurial-minded and commercially savvy candidate to lead the team at the Lakefront Anchorage Hotel, part of Millennium Hotels & Resorts.
This position reports directly to the VP for of Operations - North America.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Develops and monitors annual business plan and operating budget.
Assures achievement of annual budget in revenues, costs and profits utilizing appropriate control and accounting practices.
Reviews and analyzes monthly P & L statement.
Correcting problems and making operational and financial adjustments as needed.
Provides oversight of revenue management strategy and overall sales & marketing plan Monitors performance of Executive Committee team members.
Sets expectations for all standards to be met.
Responds to guest complaints and insures resolution and guest satisfaction Monitors staffing needs and provides leadership and direction to all departments with regard to interviewing, hiring, training, supervising, evaluating, rewarding and disciplining employees.
Maintains high visibility in the hotel.
Inspects guests' rooms, public access areas and outside grounds for condition, cleanliness and appearance.
Strategic Thinking - Develops strategies to achieve organizational goals; Understands organization's strengths & weaknesses; Analyzes market and competition; Identifies external threats and opportunities; Adapts strategy to changing conditions.
Provide support to event needs held on site with sales and events Additional duties as assigned Keys to success:
Work with hotel management team to determine key needs & opportunities for the business and implement ideas to differentiate product & service offering Instill a customer-oriented culture from top to bottom Lead from the front, engage with team members and customers Engage & drive the sales, revenue and marketing network to maximize revenue opportunities Education:
College / university degree desired, or a combination of education and relevant work experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
