Automotive Technician

Essential Duties o Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures o Checks fluid levels and replenishes as required o Performs tire repair and service o Performs minor part replacement and repair Qualifications Education, Experience, and Certifications o High School diploma or GED equivalent o Valid AK driver's license o Must own a basic tool kit to perform the job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities o Must have mechanical aptitude o Basic knowledge of part identification o Basic knowledge of part replacement and repair o Basic knowledge of pneumatic brake system identification and repair o Basic knowledge of IWS program o Follows instructions, responds to management direction, takes responsibility for own actions, completes tasks on time or communicates alternate plans o Treats people with respect; keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works with integrity and ethically, upholds organizational values o Possess excellent communication skills, verbal, written, and listening skills Working Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
In addition to using computerized diagnostic equipment, mechanics use a variety of power and machine tools, such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, grinding machines, and welding equipment.
Hand tools, including pliers, socket and ratchets, and screwdrivers, are also commonly used.
The employee is often exposed to a variety of extreme weather and temperature conditions and fluctuations, such as cold, heat, snow, wind, rain, etc.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
