Summary:
This position is ISER's pool for Adjunct Research faculty.
Adjunct research positions are externally funded.
The duration of employment is dependent on the duration of the research project(s).
Successful acceptance into the adjunct pool does not guarantee an offer of a contract.
Applications are reviewed on an as-needed basis.
Duties:
The Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER) at the University of Alaska Anchorage has been at the forefront of public policy research in Alaska for half a century.
ISER's multidisciplinary staff studies virtually all the major public policy issues Alaska faces.
That work helps Alaskans better understand the state's changing economy and population- and the challengest and opportunities that come with change.
This position is ISER's pool for Adjunct Research faculty.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic preparation, previous research, and ability to perform the research needed.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Public speaking skills.
Customer service skills.
Preferred Experience & Education:
A minimum of five years research in a relevant area.

Salary will be based on prior experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
