Operations Manager - 1-Call Alaska

DescriptionThe 1-Call Alaska Operations manager is responsible for the supervision of the Resolve Watch, and 1-Call Alaska response personnel and equipment depots.
The 1-Call Alaska Operations manager is to ensure the proper execution and development of all operational, budgetary, and planning components of the 1-Call Alaska APC, NVCC, and other OSR programs as well as the oversight of the Resolve Compliance Services Watch.
The Operations Manager is responsible for marketing, networking, and promoting Resolve Marine's services within the Federal, State, and Commercial domains.
The 1-Call Alaska Operations Manager reports directly to the Resolve Compliance Services General Manager.
Position
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain 1-Call Alaska's APC, NVCC, and other OSR programs as required.
Propose methods, events, schedules, and training to ensure readiness of personnel engaged in those programs.
Maintain a network of contacts throughout the maritime industry Promote Resolve Marine within the maritime, environmental, industrial, and local stakeholder groups.
Liaise with USCG at District, Sector, and HQ levels Represent Resolve at tradeshows/conferences/stakeholder groups as required Develop operation budgets and cost/benefit analysis for:
equipment maintenance and depot storage.
operating budget for Resolve Watch.
travel budget for drills and exercise hosted by others relative to 1-Call Alaska Operating budget for drills and exercises hosted by 1-Call Alaska Supervise the performance of the Resolve compliance services watch and 1-Call Alaska Personnel to include personnel management, quality assurance, onboarding, discipline, and scheduling.
Continuously build more Response Resource Partner capacity with new contractors.
Propose and justify equipment purchase for growth and/or replacement.
Supervise the security, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and deployment of 1 Call Alaska Oil Spill Response Equipment Caches Attend drills, exercises, or area meetings as the Resolve Marine/1-Call Alaska Principal.
Identify business opportunities for Resolve Marine and its affiliated companies Assist with other Compliance Services Division or company-wide efforts, as necessary.
Other duties as assigned Requirements This position may include travel to remote areas to participate in a response or within incident management teams for emergency oil spill response, flexibility and adaptability are expected.
Bachelor's degree in an environmental, engineering, planning, regulatory or natural resources field preferred.
6 years of advanced professional experience in environmental regulation compliance, pollution control, environmental damage recovery, or programs to improve or protect environmental quality; or evaluating the potential environmental and socioeconomic impacts of construction projects; preparing environmental documentation; and determining, negotiating, and monitoring permitted activities.
3 years supervisory/leadership experience in the above noted areas required.
Minimum of 5 years' experience of the Unified Command and Incident Command structures as well as the National Response Framework.
Proven knowledge of USCG structure and operating capacities in all U.
S.
Ports.
Proven knowledge of domain awareness, and AIS based vessel tracking programs required.
Advanced public relations and large group presentation skills strongly recommended.
Valid Driver License/Passport required.
Computer Skills:
All Microsoft Office 365 - Word, Excel, PowerPoint - Intermediate Required Adobe Acrobat Use of Customer Relations Management Software preferred Ability to communicate via any/all devices including online products Supervisory Requirements:
Supervises 1-Call Alaska Watch standers, and Spill response personnel.
Responsible for management of Alaska based resource partners Responsible for institutional development in-line with that of the Compliance Service Department Ability to manage remotely a must ADA Requirements:
Sit or Stand Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance See Walk Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Taste/Smell Use Hands/Fingers to handle or feel Talk/hear Carry weight, lift 50lbs.
Exposure to work in Maritime Environment in potentially arctic conditions or ships that may be on fire, sunk or spilling oil, fumes from equipment, confined spaces, remote locales off the road-system with uncertain access to medical care and or pharmacies, and ship-based assignments, as necessary.
Travel Requirement:
Up to 35% travel is required.
If additional, travel is required beyond the specified amount, based on the operational demand, you will be notified accordingly so arrangements can be made.
