Pit Technician

As a member of the Menzies Aviation Pit Technician team you will perform inspection, service and maintenance of Ramp Hydrant system and facilities.
Key Responsibilities Daily, monthly, quarterly and annual inspections as required by ATA 103 Minor repair of hydrant system apparatus and supporting systems / equipment as needed to include, inspect, clean, maintain, assets related to the hydrant system including valves, piping, pits, liners etc.
Sumps liquid in fuel pits, replaces pit lids, dust covers/chains etc Checks hydrant valve wear, and inspects for active leaks Basic understanding of hand tool use and application Meet compliance deadlines.
Qualifications Must possess valid US driver's license Basic knowledge of hydrant system function, operation, of equipment used in the operation.
Must be comfortable lifting/moving 70lbs Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays Must pass background check and obtain US Custom seal Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals Must pass pre-employment drug screen Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manual Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to learn quickly Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team Ability to build relationships Benefits Starting at $21.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and; in outside weather conditions and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat and extreme cold, aviation related fumes and various noise levels.

Exposure to related cleaning and chemical materials during routine cleaning assignments.

Other tasks include digging and shoveling, such as snow removal around equipment and office.
Employee may also engage in debris removal which involves lifting, bending and stooping.
