We are looking for a motivated and detail oriented Transportation Engineering Assistant to join our Anchorage based Transportation team.
Position SummaryThis position provides assistance to senior engineering staff with project deliverables for all phases of design, permitting, bidding, and construction.
Job Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required Current Engineering-in-Training certificate is preferred Understanding of basic civil engineering design principals Must be able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D design tools Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and procedures.
Ability to work in a team environment and clearly communicate with others through verbal and written communication.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Essential Job Functions:
Assist senior engineers with the preparation of project reports, development of plans, specifications, and estimates.
Apply knowledge of civil engineering design principals.
Ability to operate office machines and equipment.
May require outdoor work and/or travel to both urban and remote Alaska locations, possibly under adverse conditions for short periods of time.
Perform other duties as needed.
