Operations Manager

Job Objective:
Leads the daily operations of the Power & Gas operations teams which includes Gas Plants, Central Power Station, the Flow Automation Control Turbine Tech and F&G Teams (FACT), and DOT Control Room Manager for the Eastern Offtake Center (EOC).
This includes supervising the technical and administrative personnel.
This role also provides operational field leadership for all of the Prudhoe Bay Unit which includes cross field operational coordination and building the operating and safety culture.
Works with the PBE and PBW Operations Managers to deliver PBU Operational performance.
This includes key interfaces with Working Interest Owners and the union (USW).
Essential Job
Responsibilities:
Rotational schedule based in Prudhoe Bay.
This requires frequent visits to the Anchorage office and availability operational discussions and meetings.
Manages and supervises P&G operations to achieve established goals:
efficiently deploys available resources; plans and organizes staff assignments and workloads; trains, motivates, and evaluates team members; and reviews progress and directs changes as needed.
Technical leadership of site engineers.
Monitors daily production activities and well work reports to sustain maximum sales volumes.
Provides input in the development of short and long-range operations studies, reports, and recommendations.
Reviews, approves, and supervises procedures and cost estimates for surface projects and maintenance.
Resolves operations problems identified by support groups to include Integrity, Environmental, Safety, Infrastructure, Maintenance, Accounting and Land departments.
Reviews and approves authorization for expenditures (AFEs), purchase orders (POs), invoices, and contracts related to operations.
Conducts daily operations meetings and monthly lift cost meetings which includes detailed discussions on all operation's financial and production performance.
Provide PBU field leadership to ensure 3 assets (PBE, PBW, PBPG) all work in concert for optimal performance.
Work as an Operations Management team with PBE and PBW AOMs for PBU issues and consistency.
Provide leadership to numerous peer level leaders (foremen, SFE, optimization)- Need a clear leader in charge In field interface with large field wide Maintenance & Integrity execution teams, City functions servicing 1200 people - CPS, Service Facilities (STP/SIP, COTU, GNI), camps, roads, fleet, warehouse, security Multiple major projects/drilling in progress simultaneously across the field Influence Hilcorp & Safety culture and drive performance across asset teams, support teams, & contractors Frequent USW communication to build positive labor relations; all Union leadership is Slope based.
Help ensure and support Contractor Oversight & Engagement - crews have limited or no Hilcorp leadership.
EOC DOT Control Room Manager.
Ensure compliance and support field wide optimization.
Interface with Alyeska Pipeline Service Company for key operational issues.
IMT for larger responses - for both PBU and for other slope assets until their AOM can get to location Manages special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
Ten (10) years minimum oil and gas production field operations experience.

Alaska (preferably Slope) Ops Experience.
Field/Ops Leadership Experience (not the first leadership role).
Respected by Foremen Emergency Response Experience (IMT / IC) Outstanding management, administrative, and organizational skills.
Valid driver's license and driving record free of violations.
Proficient in the use and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's of Science Engineering Degree from an accredited four-year university or college preferred.
