Training Specialist

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Ravn Alaska Training Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering, and tracking Ravn Alaska employee training content and programing.
The Training Specialist must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be confident in their ability to deliver effective employee training to a large number of employees, while maintaining high quality standards.
This will require strong communication skills, being a team player, and a safety-oriented mindset.
Other responsibilities aligned with Ravn Alaska Core Values include but are not limited to:
Upholding safety by making decisions that ensure policy and procedural compliance and accountability for the safety and/or security of ground handling operations.
Demonstrating commitment through the implementation, coordination and monitoring of designated training programs within the organization; Acting with integrity when keeping required records to reflect the qualification for each employee as required.
This requires the maintenance of training records for a large employee group with various regulatory requirements; Embodying the spirit of connectedness by implementing and delivering employee training that effectively ensures the success, growth, and safety of Ravn Alaska employees.
Showing reliability through conducting on-the-job training for Ravn Alaska ground employees in accordance with all company and Regulatory policies and procedures, while ensuring sufficient training is done to meet expected demands as indicated by needs of the business; Promoting commitment by engaging in courteous and respectful interactions with customers, supervisors, co-workers, and business associates.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate must have strong training background, strong attention to detail, and have a high focus on safety.
Other qualifications include:
Must possess a high school diploma or GED; Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, outlook, Learning Management System, and or instructional design experience preferred; Must have at least one year of professional customer service experience, training and aviation experience preferred; Must have effective oral and written communication skills as well as be able to communicate effectively in small or large group settings; Must have a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently, maintaining organization with a fluctuating workload; Must have the ability to accurately document and record information, with a high attention to detail while maintain confidentiality; Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS); Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test; Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
