Staff Civil Engineer

is looking for a civil engineer to join our team.
Applicants must have 1-3 years of relevant experience in the engineering industry (FE/EIT preferred), with strong technical writing and excellent verbal communication skills.
A bachelor's degree in engineering is required, and must have passed FE exam.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated with strong attention to detail, and is expected to assist the engineering team with the following tasks:
Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data Assess potential risks, costs, and materials Prepare technical and feasibility studies Prepare Preliminary Engineering Reports Prepare sketches and coordinate with CAD department to develop design drawings and figures in AutoCAD & Civil 3D Prepare cost estimates and specify equipment/materials Write technical memoranda and develop specifications Develop and track schedules and budgets Prepare monthly project summary reports Additional duties will be assigned as experience is gained.
Projects may include:
water supply, treatment, storage, distribution; wastewater collection, treatment, disposal; rural roads, and solid waste landfills.
May require occasional day or overnight travel to rural Alaska for site visits and/or inspections.
Experience in water/wastewater design is necessary, cold regions experience is beneficial, and experience with AutoCAD & Civil 3D is a plus.
Proficiency with Office 365 Word/Excel/Outlook is a must.
Small, flexible office.
Compensation depends on experience.
Must be able to pass a background check.
