Duties and Responsibilities The job of the fish processor largely defines many roles in the production plant of the company.
Identify fish by species Tend to and operate machines Inspect fish by-product to meet company quality control standards Stack 50 pound frozen blocks onto pallets for shipping Cleaning factory equipment Essential Job Functions Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner Capable of working long and variable work shifts for extended periods of time Work 8 to 12 hours with periodic breaks depending on work demands, production requirements and fish volumes.
Overtime (OT) pay is available.
Ability to work within a strenuous and sometimes hazardous environment.
Able to work with hands, do heavy lifting and stand for long periods of time.
Tolerate a quick environment that can be very wet, cold and noisy.
