Duties and
Responsibilities:
Review damage to vehicles involved in an automobile collision, writing accurate, profitable damage reports in accordance with insurance partner requirements and company guidelines Negotiate initial and supplemental repairs with insurance adjusters, ensuring a safe, certified repair Research repair procedures specific to manufacturer guidelines for each vehicle moving through repairs, electronically filing the information for claim submission Maintain up to date technical knowledge sufficient to effectively communicate with clients and staff of body shop department Communicate regularly with the CSR to assist in keeping the customer adequately informed of the progress of their repair Effectively work with customers, colleagues, adjusters, rental car agencies and vendors to accurately describe repair processes and estimated completion date Thoroughly and accurately diagnosing damage by questioning client about vehicle performance and visual inspection Responsible for writing for any additional damage discovered following the disassembly of the vehicle to include additional structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage; Responsible for ordering those additional parts necessary to proceed with repairs Maintain and execute a timely schedule before, during, and after completions of repairs Prepare damage reports for non-drivable vehicles that were towed in, preparing valuations specific to the overall condition of the vehicle Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors and contractors Foster a positive and uplifting team spirit with all employees
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Experience as a Body Shop/Collision Estimator preferred Education and/or experience working in an automotive repair shop, dealership, auto insurance company, or related Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems Ability to utilize strong multi-tasking, organizational, prioritization, and follow-up skills necessary for managing multiple projects at one time in a calm, professional manor Must be flexible/adaptable to frequent change

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
