Position Summary The Senior Manager of Strategy and Business Development position is a unique, critical, and highly visible role at Scientific Games. This position plays a key, active role managing strategic projects independently and with individuals across business units to support the executive leadership team and board of directors in developing, sustaining, and evolving a focused and impactful strategic agenda for Scientific Games that creates substantial shareholder value over the coming years. This role sits within the Strategy team and reports to the Senior Director of Strategy & Business Development. The Strategy team works side-by-side with the other organizations under the Chief Strategy Officer, Corporate Development and the Transformation Management office, and is actively involved in developing strategy with business unit leaders. Expectation is that the Strategy team will be a center of top talent in the company and be a pipeline for future executive leadership within the company. The successful candidate is an independent, analytical, and intellectually curious individual who can structure and execute analyses, develop strategies, and articulate findings to a wide range of stakeholders across the organization's business units. Essential Job Functions:
Strategic Projects and Market Analysis Manage and lead analysis across a series of key strategy and business development projects (e.g., business unit strategy, market entry/go-to-market strategy, new product development, M&A, etc.) Develop a deep understanding of SG's business units, the markets they play in, their strategic priorities and potential opportunities Identify and develop market insights relevant to current and potential future SG industry verticals (e.g., market size and growth, key trends, competitive dynamics, industry news, etc.) and develop implications for SG Track and own analysis and organization of data from a variety of internal and external sources to establish a go-to hub of consolidated market data for all of SG's market verticals Prepare PowerPoint presentations and provide analyses / recommendations to leadership Structure quantitative analyses and create/manage financial models (e.g., market sizing, forecasts, etc.) Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management Actively help manage the project pipeline for the Strategy team Partner with stakeholders across business units on projects, providing strategic framing and analytical support, to better inform decision making Work with internal strategy team and cross-BU teams to driving alignment across a diverse group of internal stakeholders Coordinate with CSO and Sr. Director of Strategy & Business Development to build out key strategy team processes Manage and mentor Analyst, who will serve as support across Strategy team initiatives
Qualifications:
MBA from top-tier busines school, with strong academic track record 5
years of work experience (minimum 1-2 years post-MBA), in a top tier strategy consulting firm or in a strategy role at a consumer technology, media/entertainment, or gaming company Knowledge and passion for the gaming and/or media/entertainment industries Strategic mindset, with the ability to work on complex strategic issues by leveraging exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills Track record of successfully managing complex cross-organizational and cross-functional projects and processes Ability to develop relationships and influence different stakeholder groups directly and indirectly Robust quantitative and analytical skill set, including significant financial modeling experience Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver presentations Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills Experience working collaboratively in teams, with the ability to lead, manage, and develop high-caliber talent Ability to effectively balance multiple simultaneous priorities and deadlines with tight timelines Travel 1-2x per month, as the position will be remote but will require occasional on-site presence at SG's offices in Las Vegas, NV
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Business DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
