Summary
Weprovide security services for a variety of large and small business clients wherehealth, safety and security is our #1 priority. This is a public transportation environmentwith the corresponding levels of traffic (employees, visitors, customers,etc.). This position is located at the Downtown Transit Center in Anchorage, AK. This position has a rotational schedule (one week on / one week off). The day shift if 0600-1800 and the night shift is 1800-0600.
ESSENTIALDUTIES:
Personally monitors either visually, electronically or audibly a variety of assigned areas, or grounds by working in a variety of assignments including but not limited to roving inside the facility, roving in a vehicle, other locations deemed appropriate.
Ensures own actions and those of others observe maximum level of safety and compliance
Examines doors, windows, and other areas of the store to determine they are secure.
Reports and records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, etc.in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Warns violators of rule infractions and may apprehend or expel violators.
Notifies on site individuals of visitors wishing to see them.
Assists in properly responding to a variety of emergencies or disasters in order to preserve life and property, including but not limited to fire safety, active shooter protocol.
May perform routine input or monitoring of safety and life support computer programs.
May issue and record ID badges.
May check heating, lighting, sprinkling, security, ventilation, fire, etc., systems to make sure they are operational.
Other related duties may also be assigned.
Qualifications
THIS POSITION REQUIRES:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
At least two (2) years of directly related experience.
A valid Driver s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS vehicle insurance policy.
Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts in various areas of the plant and work overtime as required

The employee is regularly required to see, hearand speak. Employee must be alert at all times. Depending on shift and workassignment, employee is regularly required to stand, walk and/or sit forextended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to50 pounds. The employee may be exposed to outside harsh weather conditions. Thenoise level in the work environment is usually high. Incumbent must be able towork in less than ideal offices, facilities, or situations
