This position is represented by the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 367 and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 367.

LOCATION:
325 East 94th Court Example of Duties Under supervision, perform specialized core functions for the Utility's Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
Systems and Programmable Automation Controllers to include software, databases, OPC servers, HMI Clients and communications.
Write algorithms which perform automated functions for the operational requirements of associated plant systems.
Works to assure system availability, operational integrity and operate within regulatory limits and insure Utility guidelines are met in an environment whose posture is to withstand cyber intrusion and unauthorized manipulation.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Also participates in major emergencies or disasters as outlined in AWWU's disaster plan matrix, which defines each employee's potential duties and responsibilities.
This may include 12-hour work shifts, which may continue for 72 hours or more starting at any time an event might occur, seven (7) days a week, 24 hours per day.
Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and eight (8) years of experience designing, constructing, programming and commissioning plant-floor automation systems and graphic user interfaces.
OR High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and five (5) years of experience designing, constructing, programming and commissioning plant-floor automation systems and graphic user interfaces and three (3) years of experience with hydraulic instrumentation and/or industrial electrical control.
OR Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or related discipline and six (6) years of experience designing, constructing, programming and commissioning plant-floor automation systems and graphic user interfaces.
OR Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or related discipline and three (3) years of experience designing, constructing, programming and commissioning plant-floor automation systems and graphic user interfaces and three (3) years of experience with hydraulic instrumentation and/or industrial electrical control.
OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Programming or related discipline and four (4) years of experience designing, constructing, programming and commissioning plant-floor automation systems and graphic user interfaces.
OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Programming or related discipline and two (2) of experience designing, constructing, programming and commissioning plant-floor automation systems and graphic user interfaces and two (2) years of experience with hydraulic instrumentation and/or industrial electrical control.
Must possess a Valid State of Alaska driver's license with satisfactory driving record at time of hire.
