Learning & Development Clinical Specialist - Southcentral Foundation (Anchorage, AK)
POSITION Learning & Development Clinical Specialist DIVISION Organizational Development & Innovation/ Development Center NATURE OF WORK:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Customer Care & Relationships:
1.
Creates, develops, and nurtures culturally appropriate interactions and connections with each other, customer-owners, and the community.
2.
Delivers a broad range of clinically-focused L&D solutions, while mastering appropriate clinical subject matter expertise in assigned areas - Incorporates Adult Learning Theory and Principals into all career development mentoring approaches, designs, plans, and execution.
- Participates in the development, analysis, and implementation of the DC's Annual Workforce Learning Needs Assessment.
- Supports-and consults with-the DC Learning & Development Team, on alignment of all L&D.
Communications & Teamwork:
1.
Shares and receives information, opinions, concerns, and feedback in a supportive manner.
3.
Demonstrates trainer and/or educator skills (to include facilitation skills, presentation and interpersonal skills, consulting skills, networking throughout the organization, and strong follow-up skills ensuring fast and efficient completion of tasks).
4.
Ability to work interdependently within a team, and give and receive feedback and recommendations, as related to all areas of career development, progression, and retention.
Improvement & Innovation:
1.
Makes meaningful improvement to services, program, and processes and/or organizational effectiveness that create new value for customer-owners and employees.

Thinks strategically to continuously plan for Southcentral Foundation's clinical workforce readiness and development needs (to include review and implementation of strategic goals) Workforce Development Skills & Abilities:

3.
Ensures timely and accurate standardization and documentation of work.
4.
Computer skills (strong knowledge/skill of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point, with MOS certificated preferred).
5.
Documentation skills (to include learning and development documentation and related reporting).
6.
Project/program organization skills.
7.
Works independently and has the capability to efficiently make decisions independently.
Qualifications:
1.
Bachelor or Associates degree in Nursing or Master's degree in mental health field including; social work, counseling, psychology.
2.
Three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse or Clinician.
3.
Three (3) years of experience in the field of training and development, education, vocational/occupational counseling or related field.
This includes being a preceptor, mentor or supervisor for students or less medical or mental health professionals.
4.
Certificate/Certification by ASTD (American Society of Training and Development), or like industry-recognized organization (or ability to obtain within six months).
