Systems Administrator 1 - Northrop Grumman (Fort Greely, AK)
Northrop Grumman Information Systems Sector is seeking a Systems Administrator 1 to join our team in Fort Greeley, AK Position is contingent upon the award of a Top Secret clearance.
communicate across a complex network of redundant nodes, interact with the Warfighter, compute intercept solutions, and command and direct the GBI to intercept.
Position Description:
System Administrator for multi-platform operational environment.
Configure and support IBM p690 servers and Sun Microsystems and workstations and tape libraries.
Maintain the environments by troubleshooting and resolving problems that users encounter.
Install and / or maintain GFC/C, GMD GCN, LSM and NIM software / equipment in facilities located in Alaska.
Administer backups and restores.
Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and react appropriately to corrective maintenance.
Position requires occasional travel and internal military customer interface.
Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, or related field with 1 years of experience or Masters degree with 0 years of experience.
4 years of related experience can be substituted for Bachelors degree.
Active Interim Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain DoD Top Secret Security clearance required.
Complete understanding of System Administration on UNIX, Linux, GCN-LHC/LSM, NIMS and Windows systems.
Experience with military command, control and communications systems.
Experience with maintenance practices and logistics.
Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and in a fast paced environment.
Strong skills in creating and following documented processes and checklists.
Preferred Qualifications Experience as a maintainer and familiar with logistics and use of the MMICS database.
