Position
Summary:
Installs, modifies and makes minor repairs to security solutions and software systems, and provides technical advice and support to system users. Manages on-site technical personnel in delivery of service to end customers. Reports directly to the Manager - DVSC Technical Services
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Manages and mentors technicians and Lead Technicians in job delivery and productivity.
Evaluates team performance and provides feedback and instruction to Lead Technician and technician positions.
Provides immediate technical support to technical crew in field and acts as subject matter expert in field related installations.
Installs hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, CCTV Cameras (IP Only), Alarm Systems (Intrusion Panels) and Access Controls.
Loads appropriate software packages such as access control platforms, Intrusion Panel firmware updates, Camera Updates, Video Management Systems updates as required.
Assists in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users' requirements.
Directs technician personnel in the provision of telephone, in-person and online support to end-users.
Coordinates activities with network services and information systems groups at customer locations.
Provides updates, status and completion information to manager and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail or in-person communication.
Deals with major service issues on-site and makes appropriate decisions for procurement to ensure customer is satisfied.
Provides onsite training in facilities and applications of intrusion detection, CCTV Access and Access control provisioning and usage.
Responsible for providing validated estimates with appropriate time / material quantities to DVSC Sales Personnel.
Responsible to Director of Security Operations for any questions related to the efficacy and professionalism of staff under their direction.
Document all site information and provide a close-out document with customers upon successful job completion.
Direct teams and influence rather than just manage.
Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of service delivery personnel.
Handle more than one project and task in unison effectively.
Work performance in an autonomous role with little, if any, management direction.
Very detailed and organized.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in interacting with customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Experience/Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of security related field installation
Minimum of 3 years of extensive management experience directing and managing technical install crews.
Extensive experience in TCP/IP Stack and wire standards
Solid (two to three year experience basis) application of computer technology combined with security services (digital IP Camera preference).
Networking skills essential (minimum of two years of active network design and implementation as related to security systems).
Minimum 4 - 6 years progressively responsible experience in project management and/or installation delivery for security programs and equipment
Demonstrated experience in delivering system implementation, software support, network design or installation, etc. is required
A thorough knowledge and understanding of intrusion detection systems, electronic access control, CCTV, IP video and surveillance systems
Strong technical skills and understanding of technology such as software, networking, and systems development.
Experience in 3rd party vendor/contractor management
Ability to utilize sophisticated project management tools, such as Gantt charts, PERT charts, OBS, RBS and WBS
Must have a valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier
Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug screen
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Must be able to complete a vigorous fit-for-duty assessment with lifting up to 50 pounds and a series of assessment exercises
