Marine Contracts Manager - Anchorage, AK Position description: The incumbent will be part of the Logistics team based in Anchorage,
alaska
and will provide technical marine advice to a variety of stakeholders e.g Drilling, Geophysics/Geomatics, HSE. As Marine Contracts Manager, the incumbent will conduct contract management activities within the Asset, including an extensive Contractor management and engagement program (e.g. meetings and HSE forums), HSSE-MS audits and Management Reviews. Additionally, the incumbent will provide Upstream Americas team and specifically the Alaska Asset, advice on all other shipping and marine matters. He/she will support the provision of related advice, tools, processes, data etc He/she will be required to be able to critically review and positively contribute to HEMP (Hazards and Effects Management Process) studies, existing procedures and HSSE cases Support and leadership during internal and external audits will also be required The incumbent may additionally represent the Asset's interests in shipping and marine issues with regulatory and port authorities and other external bodies The incumbent will be expected to play a very active role in the UA HSSE efforts and drive towards Goal Zero Accountabilities: Integration of applicable Group Standards and Processes within the Asset Assist with the investigation and follow-up of shipping and marine incidents involving Shell assets Support development of an appropriate support fleet including new anchor handling vessels and platform supply vessels Contributing fully to Asset marine strategy work Providing specialist advice on HSSE risks relating to shipping and marine activities and the effective monitoring of performance Providing specialist support in the event of local crisis and/or oil spill response Providing support and leadership on maritime issues relating to offshore and terminal interfaces, having due regard to the peculiar challenges of the Arctic environment Assistance with and co-ordination of SMBRs and related self-appraisals, to include planning, execution and follow-up Special Challenges: Although the nominal work pattern is standard office hours, the incumbent will be expected to respond to calls outside these hours. In addition, he/she will be required to travel within Alaska, Canada and US, with occasional offshore visits - primarily within the Beaufort and Chukchi Seas.
